The Journey of Phil Voysey: From Global Educator to Life Design Coach
I’m Phil Voysey — a writer, educator, coach, performer, and lifelong seeker of self-actualization. Since 1982, my journey has taken me across the world — from classrooms in Zimbabwe to aid projects in Bangladesh and youth shelters in Peru. Each experience has deepened my belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the power we each have to create a life rich with meaning, connection, and creativity. I’ve taught, coached, performed, and told stories — all with the aim of inspiring others to live intentionally and fully. Today, I work with professionals who are ready for change, helping them step into lives by design rather than default.

Phil’s work is rooted in the belief that creativity and connection have the power to transform lives. Through writing, coaching, teaching, and performing, I create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and inspired to grow. Whether I’m guiding a professional toward a more meaningful path, sharing stories that spark reflection, or leading cultural immersion experiences, my goal is always the same — to help others tap into their potential, reconnect with what matters most, and live with greater intention and joy.

● Empowered Young Minds: Over the years, I have taught thousands of young people, guiding them toward higher education and successful careers.
● Established work experience opportunities: Instrumental in setting up a university student volunteer program at Macquarie University to promote personal and professional development of students.
● Improved Lives in Bangladesh: While working with Save the Children, I contributed to improving the quality of life for thousands of the most impoverished individuals in Bangladesh.
● Supported Homeless Youth in Peru: I had the privilege of helping homeless young Peruvians access education and instil hope for a brighter future, both in Peru and the United States. The project I initiated continues to provide educational opportunities for young Andean girls.
● Facilitated Personal Growth: As a facilitator and coach, I have supported students and professionals in overcoming personal barriers to their learning and development.
● Inspired Through Storytelling: In my roles as a writer, storyteller, and performer, I aim to inspire and entertain, sharing narratives that resonate and uplift.
● Advocated for Refugees: By bringing refugees into schools and organizing conversation events, I strive to foster belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the power to overcome adversity.
● Challenged Cultural Perspectives: Leading groups to Peru, I offer participants opportunities to challenge themselves, expand their horizons, and grow within a diverse cultural context.
